Products & Materials

Yes, we use real gold.

The gold is hallmarked following the standard EU & International rules to guarantee the highest quality possible.

Our partners use recycled gold, to help enhance sustainability.

For our fine jewellery collection we use 14k and 18k gold.

All metals are hallmarked by an authorized Third Party to guarantee the authenticity of the materials.

14k and 18k refers to the purity of the alloy.

18k gold, in EU is marked 750/00 means that the gold is 75% pure.

14k gold in EU is marked 585/00 means that the gold is 58.5% pure.

18k gold is more valuable, precious and a little more prone to scratches as gold is a really malleable material.

14k gold is more durable, strong and a little less valuable offering a good value for money option.

925 sterling silver is a high-quality silver alloy that consists of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% of other metals, typically copper. This composition is often denoted by the hallmark “925” stamped on the jewelry. The addition of other metals is essential to strengthen the silver, as pure silver is too soft for most jewelry applications.

We use only premium quality 925 Stirling Silver, you can trust that you’re getting a high-quality product and all our products have “S925” hallmark as a sign of authenticity.

Our 925 Stirling Silver is Rhodium or Gold plated to ensure durability and no tarnishing.

No, your skin won’t turn green with any of our products.

We use 925 Stirling Silver which is also hypoallergenic and tarnish free due to the Rhodium plating. We recommend although to take care of your jewellery properly to ensure the rhodium plating the maximum durability to prevent tarnishing.

Stainless steel and 925 Silver are hypoallergenic. Although, if you have sensitive skin we recommend to test all the products you wear to ensure they are good for you.

Caring for and cleaning your jewelry products properly is essential to maintain their beauty and longevity. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to care for and clean your jewelry:

General Tips for Jewelry Care:

  1. Avoid Contact with Harsh Chemicals: Remove your jewelry before using household cleaning products, perfumes, lotions, or hairspray, as these can tarnish or damage metals and gemstones.
  2. Store Jewelry Properly: When you’re not wearing your jewelry, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Use individual pouches or a jewelry box to prevent pieces from scratching or tangling.
  3. Remove Jewelry Before Activities: Take off your jewelry before engaging in activities like swimming, gardening, or exercising, as chemicals, sweat, and harsh conditions can harm your pieces.
  4. Handle with Clean Hands: Always handle your jewelry with clean hands to prevent the transfer of oils and dirt onto the pieces.

Laboratory Diamonds & Coloured Gemstones

Yes. All our diamonds over 1ct size come with a IGI or GIA certification.

The diamonds are laser-inscribed with the number of certificate.

All certificates can be check in IGI and GIA database.

We prefer the IGI certificate as for Lab-Grown Diamonds is more precise regarding colour, cut and quality of the diamond.

We can also offer an official Boscova Diamonds certification upon request.

We prefer to use diamonds and color gemstones that are not mined but synthetic, meaning man-made for three reasons.

First of all, we try to be pioneers in the industry offering innovation and new materials.

Secondly, they are sustainable as we select our partners that use  renewable source of energy: this allow us to give the consumer a environmental friendly choice.

Thirdly, synthetic gemstones allows to create statement pieces without compromising on the uniqueness of the stones.

Actual diamonds produced in a controlled laboratory as opposed to being extracted from the earth are known as lab-grown diamonds. They are identical to real diamonds in terms of their physical, chemical, and optical characteristics—pure carbon arranged in a crystal structure—and even skilled gemologists without specialized tools cannot tell them apart.

By using cutting-edge technology that mimics the natural growth process, these diamonds are created from a tiny diamond seed. The end effect is a real diamond that was formed over a few weeks rather than billions of years.

Environmentally friendly, conflict-free, and frequently less expensive than mined diamonds are lab-grown diamonds. They are a sustainable and moral option for fine jewelry without sacrificing style or quality because they provide the same brilliance, hardness, and durability.

Advanced technology that mimics the natural diamond formation process is used to create lab-grown diamonds. Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) are the two primary techniques.

HPHT simulates the conditions found deep within the Earth by immersing a tiny diamond seed in carbon and subjecting it to intense heat (roughly 1,500°C) and pressure. A diamond is created when the carbon crystallizes around the seed.

A diamond seed is put in a vacuum chamber with a gas that is rich in carbon during CVD. A pure diamond crystal is formed when the gas is heated, causing the carbon atoms to separate and gradually accumulate layer by layer on the seed.

The end product is a genuine diamond that is made ethically and sustainably without mining, and that is chemically, physically, and optically identical to ones that are mined.

We source mostly CVD diamonds produced with renewable energy sources.

Lab-grown sapphires are genuine sapphires made in labs with cutting-edge technology that replicates the crystal formation process found in nature. Made of pure corundum (aluminum oxide), they are chemically, physically, and optically identical to sapphires that are mined; they are the same in terms of color, hardness, and brilliance.

Methods like the Verneuil (flame fusion) or Czochralski processes, which involve melting and crystallizing powdered aluminum oxide under controlled conditions, are used to create these gemstones. The end product is a perfect sapphire crystal that can be polished and cut like a real one.

Lab-grown sapphires offer the same vivid beauty without the negative effects of mining and are generally more economical, ethically produced, and environmentally friendly. They are an environmentally friendly option for fine jewelry and watchmaking because of their accuracy and purity.

In a lab, corundum (aluminum oxide) crystal-forming conditions are replicated to create lab-grown sapphires. The Verneuil process, which uses a high-temperature flame to melt fine aluminum oxide powder, is the most widely used method. A sapphire boule, or big, single crystal, is formed when the molten droplets cool and crystallize layer by layer.

Other cutting-edge techniques, like the Czochralski or hydrothermal process, employ regulated heat and pressure to cultivate sapphires more gradually, producing more accurate color and clarity.

Like a sapphire that has been mined, the crystal is cut and polished after it has formed. The end product is a genuine sapphire that is the same in terms of structure, hardness, and beauty but is made ethically, sustainably, and without mining, making it a fine jewelry substitute that is also environmentally friendly.
